Stabbing Victim Bleeds To Death In Detroit Alley; Suspect Apprehended
DETROIT (WWJ) - Authorities say a man who was stabbed in the leg in southwest Detroit tried to run to safety, but ended up dying in an alley.
The incident unfolded around 2:30 a.m. Friday on Tarnow Avenue between Michigan Avenue and I-94, just east of Central Avenue.
According to police, the victim was stabbed once while either inside or near a home on Tarnow. He then stumbled to an alley about seven houses away where he bled to death. By the time officers arrived on the scene, he was dead.

The victim remains unidentified, but police say he appears to be in his late 30s.
The suspect has been taken into custody, and the murder weapon has been recovered.
Other circumstances, including a motive for the stabbing, remain unknown.
An investigation is ongoing.
