Special Edition 'I Love The Red Wings' Donut Is Back At Tim Hortons
DETROIT (WWJ) - They're donuts for Wings nuts.
The Detroit Red Wings Foundation and Tim Hortons Cafe & Bake Shop are bringing back the popular "I Love the Red Wings" donut — for a sixth time.

The specially-themed pastry — decorated with an edible Red Wings logo and topped with red and/or white sprinkles — was added to the lineup on Tuesday, March 1, and will be available at participating Detroit area Tim Hortons locations through Tusaday, March 15.
They're $1.25 each, with proceeds to benefit the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.
Now in its sixth year, the "I Love the Red Wings" donut has raised more than $225,000 to support programs such as the Detroit Red Wings School Assembly Program, which introduces nearly 50,000 students each year to the sport of hockey, importance of education and benefits of living a healthy, active lifestyle.
This year, to goal is to raise $80,000 from donut sales.
