Snow On Halloween? Forecasters Say It Might Happen
DETROIT (WWJ) - The weather truly might be frightful on Halloween this year in metro Detroit -- it could even snow.
CBS 62 Chief Meteorologist Jim Madaus said you'll want to bundle up the little ones for trick-or-treating Friday night, with temperatures expected to be in the 30s. There's also a solid chance rain showers could turn into something a little more sinister.
"The kids might see some snowflakes later on at night," he said.
Madaus said it wouldn't be the first time metro Detroit saw snow on Halloween. "We've had snow as early as October 6," he said.
The area could see about an inch of snowfall throughout the night, although it's not likely to stick around for too long. Temperatures on Saturday will be around 40 degrees with partly sunny skies.
