Smash And Grab At Jewelry Store Leads To Multi-City Police Chase
WARREN (WWJ) - Five men have been arrested following a "smash-and-grab" incident that ended in a police chase through several cities.
According to officials, the men smashed through the window of a Sterling Heights Lucido Jewelry store on Schoenherr near 19 Mile then took off in two cars.
The chase went through Troy, Madison Heights and Warren, prompting those departments to join in the pursuit.
The suspects apparently stole several Rolex watches. Warren Mayor Jim Fouts says there were no injuries.
In a Facebook post, the mayor praised Warren police for their "great work."
An investigation is ongoing.
