Security Stepped Up At Grand Rapids Airport Following Bomb Threat
GRAND RAPIDS (AP) - Officials say security has been stepped up at Gerald R. Ford International Airport in western Michigan following a bomb threat.
The Grand Rapids airport says in a statement it received a threat specific to its terminal building around 4 a.m. Wednesday and is "taking appropriate precautions," including extra law enforcement on hand from the state police and the Kent County sheriff's department.
The airport says state police searched the terminal and nearby areas with dog teams and found no threats. The airport says flights aren't affected.
