1 Person Ejected, 5 Others Injured In Rollover Crash On US-23 In Ann Arbor
ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - Authorities say one person was ejected from their vehicle and five others were injured during a rollover crash on an Ann Arbor area freeway.
The accident happened around 7 a.m. on Southbound US-23 near Joy Road.
Police say the vehicle apparently lost control and left the roadway before doing a complete 360 degree flip. Other circumstances weren't immediately clear.
"It's a white, older-style minivan that went sideways through the ditch, rolled at least once and ended up back on its wheels -- and is now parked in a shrubbery row with some trees," WWJ's Bill Szumanski reported from above the scene in Chopper 950.
One person was ejected from the minivan and is believed to be in critical condition. Five others were taken to local hospitals in serious condition, officials said
Southbound US-23 was closed for nearly two hours while police investigated, but has since reopened.
