Reward Offered For 4 Who Carjacked 91-Year-Old Man
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are looking for some help from the public to find four men wanted in connection with the carjacking of a 91-year-old man.
It happened at around 10:30 p.m. Monday night in the area of Linwood and Joy Road on the city's near west side. There's where investigators say the victim was approached by the four suspects — one of them armed with a handgun.
Police said the robbers ordered the man to get out of his 2004 GMC Envoy SUV and lie on the ground. They then drove off in the vehicle.
There is a $2,000 dollar reward being offered for anyone who has information leading to the arrest of these suspects.
Police released photos of two of the suspects (seen above). The other two are only described as young black males in all dark clothing.
Anyone who has any information on this case is asked to call the C.A.T.S at telephone number: 313-596-2255 or "Help Eliminate Auto Thefts" at 1-800-242-HEAT (4318) or www.miheat.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
