After Floyd Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquio last May, he said he was done with boxing.
If reports are true, Mayweather is set to be in what could quite possibly be the biggest boxing match of all-time.
According to thesun.co.uk Mayweather and UFC (retired) fighter Conor McGregor could be squaring off in the boxing ring.
This doesn't appear to be some type of exhibition either.
"A source told The Sun: "Floyd went mad after Conor said he would crush him and knock him out in 30 seconds, he's obsessed with making Conor eat his words.
"Floyd is calling the shots. It's strictly boxing and Conor will have to lose roughly 25lbs.
"It was agreed in principle on May 2, but Floyd wouldn't reveal the identity of his opponent until last night when he told friends he'll be fighting Conor."
The fight is allegedly going to happen this summer. Mayweather would bring home a reported $144.8 million while McGregor would collect a modest $10.1 million.
It was also reported in March of this year that McGregor challenged Mayweather to a boxing match.
In my opinion, Mayweather would dominate McGregror. It wouldn't even be close. Say what you want about Mayweather and his defensive style of boxing, he would counter punch McGregor all evening long.
UPDATE: ESPN's Darren Rovell and Ariel Helwani don't believe any truth to the rumor.
If there was one super fight to take place, who would you like to see?
