Detroit Pistons Trade For Point Guard Steve Blake

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) -- The Detroit Pistons have acquired veteran point guard Steve Blake from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for forward Quincy Miller, according to a report.

Blake, a 12-year veteran, has played for seven different teams throughout his NBA career. He played 81 games off the bench last season for the Portland Trailblazers, averaging 4.3 points and 3.6 assists per game while shooting 35.2 percent from behind the 3-point line.

Blake, 35, was traded by the Blazers with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to the Nets for Pat Connaughton and Mason Plumlee on June 25.

The Pistons currently have three point guards on their roster, including the recently-signed Reggie Jackson, the rehabbing Brandon Jennings, and second-year prospect Spencer Dinwiddie.

Miller played just four games with the Pistons last season.
