With Durkin as the DC for Michigan the team was ranked 4th in yards allowed (3376), yards per game (281), third in passing yards allowed (1905), passing yards per game (158.8), 22nd in rush defense (1471) and 19th in rushing yards per game (122.6).
DC D.J. Durkin leaves Michigan for Maryland. Who's next for UM? If the Lions broom their coaching staff, Teryl Austin would fit nicely in AA
