Wednesday February 3, 2016 should have been the biggest moment in a star high school football player's life as it's national signing day.

One player who won't be signing on the dotted line, per reports, is Michigan State four-star recruit Auston Robertson.

According to 247sports.com:

Allen County court records show Robertson was arrested for battery on Jan. 13 and is facing criminal misdemeanor charges. Court records show that Robertson was released on Jan. 18 on $750 bond and had an initial hearing on Jan. 19. On that same date, a "no contact" order was issued and another hearing was scheduled for Feb. 11.

Court records also show that Robertson was arrested on Sept. 10 with charges of criminal mischief (damages or defaces property of another without consent) and resisting law enforcement. A hearing was held the same day and charges were dismissed.

Robertson is a 6'5", 260 pound defensive end from Fort Wayne, Ind. He tweeted on Wednesday that Michigan State is still his first choice, though, he is reopening his recruitment.

Other schools recruiting Robertson were Alabama, Indiana and Iowa. Robertson originally committed to Michigan State on June 7, 2015.
