Power Outage Shuts St. Clair County International Airport
KIMBALL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ/AP) - Officials say a power outage prompted the shutdown of St. Clair County International Airport.
All operations were suspended about 7:15 p.m. Thursday, affecting outgoing and incoming flights, according to The Times Herald of Port Huron.
The airport says in a statement it will reopen once all systems are powered and verified operational. As of Friday morning, the power was still off.
The airport is located in Kimball Township, near Port Huron and about 50 miles northeast of Detroit.
