Possibly Drunk Bicyclist Hospitalized After Crash With Semi Downriver
LINCOLN PARK (WWJ) - Police in Lincoln Park believe that alcohol may have played a role in an accident Thursday morning involving a bicyclist and a semi truck.
Police told WWJ Newsradio 950 that a woman on a bike, on River Drive near Southfield in Lincoln Park, was riding recklessly and had fallen off a couple of times before being hit by the truck.
She was taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment of what were described as serious injuries. No one else was hurt.
It's unclear if any charges will be filed as investigation continues.
The woman's name was not released.
