Police Searching For Suspects, Motive In Connection With Multiple Shootings In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Two people have been hospitalized after being shot over the weekend.

Reports say the victims were shot while sitting inside a vehicle on Westwood, near Evergreen and West Warren.

No word on their conditions.

In a separate incident; one person is dead after a shooting in Detroit's Midtown area. This incident also unfolded Sunday night, on Woodward south of I-94. Reports say that a man and a pregnant woman were driving southbound on Woodward when the man was shot in the chest. The vehicle crashed into a bulldozer.

The man died. The woman is hospitalized in stable condition.

Police are looking for suspects--and motives--in both cases.
