Police Searching For Driver Involved In Hit And Run Death
DETROIT (WWJ) - A hit and run on Detroit's east side has left one man dead.
Detroit police tell WWJ that the victim -- believed to be in his 50s -- was walking in the street on Van Dyke, near Savage Street and 8 Mile, when he was struck by a dark-colored Dodge Charger-type vehicle.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Police say they don't have many more details on the accident -- which is why they're asking anyone who may have more information about the accident or the vehicle involved, to please call Detroit police.
