ROYAL OAK (WWJ) -- Police in Royal Oak are on the lookout for a man suspected of robbing a bank on Sunday.

Authorities say the TCF Bank on Crooks Rd. and 12 Mile Rd. was held up just after noon when the suspect entered the building, passed a note to a teller demanding money and implied that he was armed.

The man made it out of the building with an undisclosed amount of money and ran southbound on Pleasant St., where investigators believe he likely escaped in a vehicle.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5-foot-8 and between 20 and 30 years old. He has a thin build with short brown hair and was last seen wearing a plain white t-shirt, black jeans and white-framed sunglasses.

Royal Oak police and the FBI continue to investigate the robbery.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Lt. David Clemens at 248-246-3456.
