Police: Ride Home From Bar Turns Into Night Of Violence For Woman

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - A 29-year-old man is charged with assault and unlawful imprisonment during his arraignment in Royal Oak District Court Tuesday.

Jason Dale is accused of dragging a woman from a car - into his home and holding her against her will for hours, then physically assaulting her, before letting her go.

According to police the suspect held a knife to the victim's throat, and at one point, armed himself with a rifle and fired it inside the home. The victim feared that Dale was going to kill her and repeatedly attempted to escape.

Reports state that the incident began when Dale was driven home from a bar by the victim.

Dale was charged with several counts of assault, domestic violence, felony firearm, and malicious destruction of property.

Bond was set at $110,000. His next court date is set for May 8.
