Police Release Sketch Of Suspect In Murder Of 6-Month-Old Girl In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police have released a sketch of a suspected child killer.
After two other suspects brought in for questioning were released, police are continuing their hunt for the gunman who fatally shot a 6-month-old girl in northwest Detroit last weekend.
Police say the infant, since identified as Miracle Murray, was in a yard with adults and other children outside a home, on Winthrop St. at Clarita Ave., on Saturday, April 16, when a man ran up and started shooting.
He later fled in a car, described by witnessed as a silver Saturn.
Police have said the shooting appears to be gang-related and may be connected to the fatal shooting of another small child, 3-Anaiya Denise Montgomery, on Easter Sunday. Three people have been charged with murder in that case.
The man in the sketch is wanted in connection with Miracle's murder and also the non-fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man who was with her in the yard that day.
