Police Release Photos Of Suspects Wanted In Twelve Oaks Smash-And-Grab [PHOTOS]

NOVI (WWJ) -- Novi police are on the lookout for three suspects wanted in the smash-and-grab robbery of a jewelry store in Twelve Oaks Mall on Saturday.

According to police, the three African-American men were seen entering Tapper's Jewelry around 5:30 p.m. before smashing a display case with a small hammer and taking two watches and fleeing the scene on foot.

Police received calls about gunshots being fired inside the mall as the robbery was occurring, but later determined no shots were fired.

The loud noise of the display case shattering and the slamming of the glass doors to the store as one suspect was trying to flee caused the immediate panic to shoppers.

Closed-circuit television cameras were able to capture images of the three men as they entered the store.

Novi police chief David Molloy said Saturday night that authorities were looking for a gold Chrysler 200 driven by a potential fourth suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Scott Baetens at 248-348-7100 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
