Police: Man Flees On Bicycle After Robbing Credit Union

LIVONIA (WWJ) - Police are hoping the public can help identify a man who robbed a credit union in Livonia.

Police say the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Parkside Credit Union on Plymouth Road just west of Levan Road.

According to police, the suspect approached one of the tellers and passed a note demanding cash. After getting what he came for, the suspect fled the scene on a bicycle.

No weapon was seen during the crime, and no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40-years-old, with an unshaven face. At the time, he was wearing a black V-neck pullover sweatshirt with red and white stripes on the sleeves and the words "Hockey 08" written on the front, a dark-colored knit hat, black gloves and sunglasses.
