Police Investigate If Body In Ditch Was Hit-And-Run Victim

ARMADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Michigan State Police are investigating whether a 21-year-old man found dead in a ditch north of Detroit may have been a hit-and-run victim.

State police Lt. Calvin Hart tells The Macomb Daily investigators are awaiting autopsy results from the Macomb County medical examiner. Family members have identified the victim as Jacob Brand, who lived in St. Clair County's Kimball Township.

His body was discovered in the ditch in northern Macomb County about 11:35 a.m. Saturday.

Hart says police are asking the public for help in the investigation.
