Police investigate after reported bomb threat at Partridge Creek Mall
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - Police are investigating after a reported bomb threat Wednesday at Partridge Creek Mall in Clinton Township.
Police say the threat was reported at about 4:31 p.m. after a Sephora store received a call from someone claiming that a bomb was put in their store. An extensive search from Clinton Township police and fire departments, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital staff and Partridge Creek Mall security did not uncover explosives.
Investigators determined the threat to be a hoax and gave an all-clear at about 6:30 p.m.
"Currently, the inquiry into this incident remains ongoing and is being addressed by the Clinton Township Police Department's Criminal Investigative Division (CID)," police said in a press release.
