Police Chase Ends In Capture Of Suspect Wanted In Connection With Macomb Woman's Murder

MACOMB COUNTY (WWJ) - Shots rang out in Lapeer County late Tuesday afternoon as police closed in on a murder suspect.

Police say Jeremiah Boshell fired on officers and then took off on Eastbound I-69 before finally crashing near Wilder Road. Boshell had been wanted for questioning after his 38-year-old Macomb Township girlfriend was found dead.

The woman's body was discovered behind the wheel her Chrysler PT Cruiser, parked in a field behind a home in the 60,000-block of Forest Road in Lenox Township.

Boshell has served some time in prison for assault with a dangerous weapon and gun charges.

No injuries were reported from the gunfire and Boshell wasn't hurt in the crash.

Any possible charges in connection with his girlfriend are pending as an investigation continues.

The victim has not been publicly identified.
