Pedestrian Killed In Crash On Wayne Road
WESTLAND (WWJ) - Authorities say a pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in Westland.
The accident happened just after 8 p.m. Monday on Wayne Road near Schley Street, just south of Palmer Road.
A woman was struck by a vehicle, although other circumstances weren't immediately clear. The woman's name has not yet been released.
The driver, who was uninjured, stopped at the scene and was questioned by police.
Officials say it appears that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the accident.
An investigation is ongoing.
