Parents Ask For Help Locating Teen Missing Since New Year's Eve

UPDATE:  According to the teen's mother, Tracey Minch Turner, Dylan was found alive and uninjured on Wednesday, Jan. 8. She wishes to thank everyone for their support and help in the search.

LIVONIA (WWJ) - The parents of a teen missing since New Year's Eve are asking for help locating their son.

Seventeen-year-old Dylan Turner went missing from the Children's Village in Pontiac along with another resident on Tuesday evening about 7 p.m.

Tracey Turner said her son, "has come too far to throw it all away and everyone wants to help him finish (his recovery)."

Tracey said her son only had about a month left at the center and was in the process of finishing court-ordered treatment before leaving with a resident she believes is named 'Austin.'

She doesn't know why he would leave the center with such a short time left but wants her son to know that there are hundreds of people trying to help him out and "we're at home falling apart."

While a police report has been filed, Tracey tells WWJ that this is not treated as a run-away case due to his court-ordered treatment status at Children's Village.

Dylan is 5 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds with short brown hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Waterford police at (248) 674-0351.
