Oscar's Biggest Moments On Social Media

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - The Oscars may have been held in Hollywood, but viewers took to social media to discuss winners, losers and omissions.
On Twitter and Facebook, the 87th annual awards show continued to be a trending a topic Monday morning.
According to Twitter, the top three moments from the show measured in Tweets per minute were:
- Lady Gaga's performance and Julie Andrews's appearance
- Alejandro Iñárritu winning Best Picture for "Birdman"
- Patricia Arquette's acceptance speech for winning Best Supporting Actress
When it came to the top personalities on the show, Twitter stated that Lady Gaga, Patricia Arquette and John Legend were the most Tweeted about nominees and performers. Birdman, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Boyhood were the films that got the most mentions on Twitter.
Lady Gaga also had one of the most viral Tweets of the night:
That Tweet had nearly 23,000 retweets and more than 45,000 favorites, but it was substantially less than 3.3 million retweets for Ellen DeGeneres's infamous selfie during the 2014 show.
Facebook also created a dedicated page that curates the top Oscar related posts from the show.
