Olympians Davis, White To Be Honored By Governor

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Olympic gold medalist ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White are visiting Lansing to be honored by Gov. Rick Snyder.

The athletes are scheduled to attend an event inside the Capitol building Tuesday morning. The governor will offer remarks in honor of Michigan's Olympians.

A Special Olympics gold medalist from Ann Arbor also is expected to attend.

Davis and White are the first Americans to win an Olympic ice dance title. They grew up in and train in suburban Detroit, and recently were announced as contestants on the upcoming season of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."
