Severe weather rolls through Southeast Michigan on Wednesday

(CBS DETROIT) - Wednesday is a NEXT Weather Alert Day as severe weather is possible. 

Southeast Michigan is under both a marginal (category 1 out of 5) and a slight (category 2 out of 5) risk of severe weather. Showers and storms will roll across the region near a frontal boundary creating a threat for severe weather between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Storm motion with these storms and showers will be west to east.

When these potential storms push through, expect a chance of isolated tornadoes, large hail up to 1 inch in diameter, and especially strong winds up to 60 mph.

Showers and storms will move out in the late evening, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies over the next couple of days.
