MSU Vs. Rutgers Tickets Are So Cheap, They're Nearly Free
EAST LANSING (CBS Detroit) Oh, how the once-mighty Spartans have fallen.
Once considered a powerhouse football program, now they're barely even in the shadow of Jim Harbaugh's mighty Michigan program. Can Harbaugh even see little brother from such a high vantage point? Probably not.
It's more like your little brother's second cousin you met a couple of times... What was his name again?
Anyone who wonders if that's an exaggeration should check this out: MSU fans can buy tickets to the Rutgers game, slated for noon Saturday, for $6 on StubHub.
You could buy a latte with an extra shot, or a seat at Spartans' Stadium. Perhaps you'd like a $5 failure pile in a sadness bowl from a favorite fast food joint ... or the Spartans. That candy bar and bag of chips you've been eyeballing in the vending machine, or game day live.
It's the one conference team the Spartans have a chance to beat. Why wouldn't you want to watch your team win, even if it's against a terrible opponent? It's one of the few things that has motivated Lions fans to visit Ford Field game after game in past years.
One of the worst parts for Spartans ticket holders? The tickets are sitting there, unsold, which means at $6 to $10, there are still no takers.
But don't worry little Spartans, Michigan was in the rear view mirror for a lot of teams just a couple of years ago and look at them now. Spartans Will undoubtedly dominate again, someday.
