MSP: Body Of Man Missing Since 1984 Discovered In Car Submerged In Water

BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - A gruesome discovery in Buena Vista Township just outside of Flint.

A diving company doing some clean up work in a small pond near property discovered a sunken car.

Inside, they found the skeletal remains of a body.

Michigan State Police tell WWJ Newsradio 950 that they've identified the body as a man who was reported missing in 1984, but have not released his name pending notification of family.

Police are investigating how the man ended up in the water.
