More Questions For GM's CEO Mary Barra

DETROIT (WWJ) - The House Energy and Commerce Committee want to question General Motors CEO Mary Barra again about the automaker's ignition switch recall.

That's according to the head of that committee, Michigan Republican Congressman Fred Upton. Upton says GM has given his committee a lot of material ahead of that hearing, which is expected later this month.

"They also turned over about a half a million documents last week that we are pouring over," said Upton. "We've got more questions for her, she's agreed to come back and testify ... later this month."

"It's clear from the report at least that the very top eschelon of GM did not know of the problems, but we need to figure out what went wrong."

Upton calls the findings in GM's internal probe "deeply disturbing."
