Mitt Romney To Rally With GOP Hopefuls In Livonia, Minus Gov. Snyder

LIVONIA (AP) — Mitt Romney will join top Michigan Republican candidates besides Gov. Rick Snyder next week at a political rally in suburban Detroit.

Romney is holding a "CoMitt to the Comback Rally" rally at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 2 at Laurel Manor in Livonia. It's open to the public.

The Detroit Free Press reports that the Michigan native and 2012 Republican presidential candidate will share the stage with Lt. Gov. Brian Calley, Attorney General Bill Schuette, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson and U.S. Senate candidate Terri Lynn Land.

The newspaper says Snyder isn't attending but will hold a town hall campaign event that evening in the Detroit suburb of Sterling Heights.
