Michigan State University Police Issue Alert, Make Arrest In Road Rage Incident

EAST LANSING (WWJ/AP) - Police at Michigan State University issued a campus alert after a driver showed a gun during a suspected road rage incident.

Officers arrested a man and recovered a gun after the incident between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday at Shaw and Farm Lane on the school's East Lansing campus, according to a post on the MSU Police Department's Facebook page.

According to police, the suspect left southbound on Farm in a blue or black Impala. He was described only as a black male.

Sgt. Steve Brandman told the Lansing State Journal that the incident started as a "dispute between drivers," but he didn't immediately have specifics.

An initial alert went out shortly after 8 p.m. An updated alert issued less than two hours later said a suspect was in custody.

No one was injured.
