Michigan-Notre Dame Game Means Everything To Wolverines [BLOG]

I admit it… I have been very critical of Michigan football for about 4 seasons now.
I think it's hard not to be.
It's very difficult to look at that program in Ann Arbor and have any confidence that things will eventually return to how they used to be. And I'm a Michigan fan! The program is not even recognizable anymore. It's true.
Never before has Michigan been the butt of so many jokes. From the clueless thoughts and actions by Rich Rodriguez to the current state of things under David Brandon and Brady Hoke; it's all very painful.
But I have written the above before, in fact I think a lot of people have.
The mighty Michigan block M has fallen, and very far if I do say so myself.
And, on Thursday that logo hit rock bottom.
Ohio State has laughed in your face for quite some time but now that little fighting annoying leprechaun guy with the stupid looking green hat is joining them.
Yesterday both Ohio State and Notre Dame announced they would be playing each other in 2022 and 2023. Well isn't that special? Two of Michigan's rivals decided to tell the world that they will take on each other about 48 hours before the Wolverines are set to play the Irish for the last time.
Talk about insulting. What a sucker punch! Ohio State has no respect for the conference they play in and we already knew they don't care about Michigan. ND apparently just enjoys bullying the Wolverines who have turned into the equivalent of 'Screech" from "Saved by the Bell." You know … The kid that constantly got shoved into random lockers by AC Slater?
Yeah, that's Michigan these days… Dustin F**KING Diamond!
Where is the outrage? How did this happen?
Notre Dame is facing an academic fraud investigation. Their QB Everett Golson was suspended all last season due to his own academic issues. This is the school sticking it to Michigan? The place where Manti Te'o helped change the football slogan from "play like a champion today" to "play like your fake girlfriend died today." I mean, seriously... Te'o got cat fished or made up a chick that he fake killed. Yeah that Notre Dame is calling the shots and disrespecting Michigan.
I love the Michigan-ND game and if you like college football even a little bit then you probably do too. The matchup usually means the arrival of the sport and to think that it might never happen again is sickening. Add that to the fact that it will be OSU taking Michigan's place at least for a couple years and it makes it even worse. Excuse me while I visit the toilet.
So here is what I propose…
Beat the living pulp out of that nasty, little green leprechaun.
I truly believe the combination of Hoke and Brandon has furthered the demise of Michigan football. I even believe that losing and losing a lot would be great for the program if it meant both the AD and coach got the ax. Many people believe this makes me an awful fan. It doesn't! And, I know there are a LOT more like me. This program will always be a laughing stock as long the above mentioned are in charge.
But for one day and one day only, I not only will root for Michigan to beat the Irish but I hope they pulverize them. Make it impossible for the Domers to ever forget the ass kicking they received the last time they ever played the Wolverines. How about a nice rendition of the "chicken dance" right in front of touchdown Jesus? Now that would be nice.
Maybe Brandon can even hand ND A.D. Jack Swarbrick a nice little love letter after beating him for the last time?
The motivation is at an all-time high. They're ranked; they ended the game that we all love, and now just to rub it in your face they took their action to your enemy. (Of course I still believe Michigan fans hate MSU more than Ohio State but for the purpose of this blog I'll just go with the Ohio State premise.)
So beat em' Brady! Here's your chance to not only get your approval rating up but to also become a hero to a program that has allowed itself to become a victim way too often lately.
Here, let me steal one of your lines Coach Hoke…
"This is Michigan!"
How about acting like it on Saturday in South Bend?
Oh and by the way..... Rudy Blows!!!
