Michigan Has Nation's 9th Highest Football Ticket Prices

With Jim Harbaugh coming home this season, Univeristy of Michigan football fans are going to have to be willing to shell out some money to see the return of Ann Arbor's favorite son.

According to Forbes, the Wolverines have the nation's ninth-highest ticket prices of any college football team in 2015, coming in at an average of $171.14. Prices for tickets to see Harbaugh's squad are up over 50 percent from 2014, when the Wolverines ranked 25th.

The only other Big Ten teams to crack the top 10 are Nebraska and Ohio State. Here's the rest of the top ten:

  1. Notre Dame: $332.09
  2. Georgia: $235.47
  3. Texas A&M: $200.69
  4. Tennessee: $199.46
  5. Ohio State: $197.79
  6. Baylor: $183.84
  7. Auburn: $177.69
  8. Nebraska: $177.60
  9. Michigan: $171.14
  10. Oklahoma: $164.94

 

As for the most expensive single game tickets, Notre Dame has everyone else beat by a mile. A ticket for its matchup with Boston College at Fenway Park on Nov. 21 comes in at a whopping $919.90. Two more Notre Dame games break the top five most expensive single game tickets:

  1. Boston College vs. Notre Dame (Fenway Park): $919.90
  2. Texas at Notre Dame: $829.29
  3. Alabama at Georgia: $684.44
  4. Alabama at Auburn: $614.64
  5. USC at Notre Dame: $590.81

 

The preseason figures for Notre Dame ticket prices are estimated to be the highest for any team inthe past five years.
