"The team, the team, the team."
You will hear that quote a few hundred times during the 2015 Michigan football season.
Wednesday afternoon, the university released a hype video for the upcoming season.
What's cool is that the rapper -- maybe we can call him former rapper since he hasn't put out an album ("Napalm") since 2012 and that wasn't that great in my opinion -- voiced the video.
You might remember X to the Z from his hit MTV show 'Pimp my Ride'. It's good to see he found some work.
Ever since Jim Harbaugh took over Michigan's football program, it seems that he is bigger than "the team, the team, the team."
Even in the hype video, other than the opening sequence that shows Michigan players walking to the center of the field, the first Michigan player shown was Harbaugh. Brady, Desmond Howard, Bo, Charles Woodson, Griese and players of the past follow before they highlight this year's players.
I know that Michigan is rich in tradition, but when does it become about this year's team?
You might not agree with me but you have to admit it's a little odd that so few clips of "the team, the team, the team" were actually shown.
The days of Rich Rod and Brady Hoke are over but when does Michigan football once again become about the players and not the coach?
