Michael Jordan Invests, Joins US Board Of Sports Data Firm

ST. GALLEN, Switzerland (AP) — Sports data provider Sportradar says Michael Jordan has invested in the firm and joined its advisory board in the United States.

The Switzerland-based company says NBA owners Mark Cuban and Ted Leonsis have also provided funding and joined the board.

Details of the investments were not disclosed.

Sportradar provides leagues, sports federations and media companies worldwide with in-game statistics, betting service data and betting fraud monitoring.

Sportradar signed partnerships with the NFL, NHL and NASCAR this year. The new investors were announced Tuesday.

Leonsis says in a statement that Sportradar is "ahead of the curve in understanding the crucial role data plays in creating innovative content and products that captures audiences."
