Metro Detroit Gas Prices Jump 25 Cents In Two Days: What's The Deal?
DETROIT (WWJ) - There's no denying metro Detroiters have been enjoying the low gas prices lately. But that doesn't mean a 25-cent bump at the pump is going to go unnoticed.
The WWJ Newsroom has received multiple reports Thursday morning that the price of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline has climbed over the last few days by 10- to 25-cents per gallon at some stations.
The Mobil station at Inkster and 6 Mile was up to $1.99 per gallon after being just $1.83 Tuesday night.
The Meijer gas station on Fort Street in Southgate had gas for $2.15 Thursday, up from $1.90 on Tuesday.
