McDonald's Tops Mentions On Twitter During Super Bowl

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - McDonald's topped the inaugural survey of brands mentioned on Twitter during Sunday's Super Bowl.
The social media site measured the brand, commercial and other related mentions of in-game commercials from the coin toss until the clock hit 0:00 and the Patriots won their fourth Super Bowl.
Twitter counted the mentions of brand name, brand Twitter account, product name, hashtag included in commercial, subject matter of commercial and mentions of celebrities appearing in commercial toward their totals.
According to Twitter's survey, McDonald's won the inaugural #TopSpot competition with 634,310 mentions during the game. Tweets from the burger chain included:

Always had the second most mentions with 455,695 during the game with Tweets including these posts:
