DETROIT (CBS DETROIT) - After getting suspended and missing the Rose Bowl, officially ending his collegiate career, Michigan State senior linebacker Max Bullough will play in one more non-NFL game after all.

The Shrine Game, the proceeds of which benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children, is a college all-star game that will be played Jan. 18 in St. Petersburgh, Fla.

According to the game's website, more than 100 players who participated last season signed with pro teams in 2013.

Bullough, a two-time captain and Academic All-America selection, recorded 299 tackles, including 30.5 for loss, in his four-year career. A third-generation Spartan, Bullough followed his grandfather, father and uncles to Michigan State. His brother Riley played for the Spartans this year, and another brother, Byron, is a 2014 recruit. Because of an unspecified violation of team rules, Bullough was suspended for the Rose Bowl.

The Spartans finished the season with a 13-1 record, including a Big Ten championship and Rose Bowl win, while in-state rival Michigan finished the season 7-5, lost a heart-breaker to undefeated Ohio State in the final home game of the season and lost in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl to Kansas State.

One of the bright spots of the season for the Wolverines, however, was wide receiver Jeremy Gallon, who will join Bullough and others in the Shrine Bowl. Gallon finished his career with 173 catches for 2,704 yards.
