Detroit Lions starting QB Matthew Stafford and his gorgeous fiance Kelly Hall are set to tie the knot. The college cheerleader and quarterback are officially headed down the aisle.
And many times when a couple gets married they set up a registry with lists of gifts you can buy for them if you're so inclined. Someone like me would set it up at Sports Authority or maybe an autograph store, but maybe that's why I'm not getting married anytime soon.
The future Staffords, on the other hand, are registered at Williams-Sonoma, which has a location at Somerset Collection in Troy and plenty of haters over its lengthy, in-depth descriptions of mundane items in its catalog -- and its prices.
For instance, the 'snowflake cakelet pan' they were selling at Christmas was described this way: "Create intricate mini-cakes and top with powdered sugar. Made in USA by Nordic Ware of cast aluminum with nonstick finish." They also sell a $2,500 espresso machine that "features automatic grinding, dosing, tamping, and milk texturing."
The most expensive item on this particular registry is the KitchenAid Stand Mixer, 7-Qt., medallion silver for the low, low price of $549.
Williams-Sonoma Edge-Grain Carving Board, requested in walnut, medium, will only run you $169.95.
Now I might seem uncultured questioning this one -- but what the heck are Williams-Sonoma Wine Chilling Wands, set of 2? They will only run you $39.95.
You can check out the entire registry HERE.
Can you imagine how nice the wedding will be?
