Through Michigan State's seven-game losing streak, coach Mark Dantonio has maintained faith in his players.
He wanted to ensure it remains a two-way street.
At Dantonio's press conference on Tuesday morning, on the heels of the Spartans' 31-27 loss to Illinois, the coach said he held a "town hall meeting" with each positional group on the roster and asked the players to express their level of confidence in the team and the coaching staff.
Dantonio says he had a "town hall meeting" with MSU by position groups and asked players to weigh in on confidence level of them & coaches.

In each meeting, Dantonio had his players complete a self-survey in which they listed the things that have been bothering them.

Michigan State has three games remaining: home versus Rutgers, home versus Ohio State and on the road against Penn State. The Spartans are still looking for their first conference win of the season.
Given the amount of work put in by players and coaches alike, Dantonio said the team's lack of success is "shocking."
Dantonio: "It's shocking...I live this, I work 90 hours a week at this." Players and coaches also "live it."

At 2-7, Michigan State is in danger of finishing with its lowest win total in ten years. The Spartans went 4-8 in 2006 under Coach John Smith. They've won at least six games every season since hiring Dantonio in 2007.
