Showers and storms continue to move through Southeast Michigan

CBS News Detroit

(CBS DETROIT) - Showers and storms continue to move through Southeast Michigan this evening. The threat of severe weather has passed as we wait for one more line to move through the area.

We've had a few Severe Thunderstorm Warnings this afternoon and storm damage reports in Livonia, Farmington Hills, Carsonville, and St. Clair to name a few, but more damage reports continue to come in this evening.

There are additional reports of power outages. Please remember not to approach downed powerlines. In the case of flooding, especially on roadways, an easy tip to remember is "Turn Around, Don't Drown." Roads could be washed out or collapsed under flood waters.

After the last line of showers and storms move through Wednesday night, we can expect dryer conditions overnight. Skies will clear up overnight as well, with temps reaching lows in the low 60s. A small chance for a quick isolated shower will be possible on Thursday, but overall, we'll have cooler and more pleasant weather.
