Man Killed, Teen Injured After Gunman Opens Fire On Crowd In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are searching for the gunman who fired shots into a crowd of people in southwest Detroit, killing one man and injuring a teenager.

The incident unfolded around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 6000 block of Larkins, in a neighborhood near Warren and Livernois avenues.

Police responded to a call of shots fired and arrived on the scene to find a man in his 20s and a 15-year-old boy suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were rushed to the hospital, where the man later died. The teen's current condition is unknown.

Investigators say the shooting followed some type of altercation, although other circumstances weren't immediately clear.

No suspects have been identified. An investigation is ongoing.
