Man Killed In Hail Of Gunfire On Detroit's East Side

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are trying to catch a killer after a 24-year-old man was shot to death on the city's east side.

The man was in the area of Larned Street near St. Aubin Street, just northeast of I-375, around 1:45 a.m. Friday when shots rang out and he was struck several times.

Police say the man was privately conveyed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The back window of the vehicle that dropped him off was littered with bullet holes, according to police, but it's not clear if the man was inside the car at the time of the shooting.

Investigators don't yet have any information on a suspect.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 313-267-4600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
