Man Found Shot To Death, Lying In Street
PONTIAC (WWJ) - The Oakland County Sheriff Department is investigating a deadly shooting in Pontiac.
Police say 33-year-old Dominique Grandberry was found lying in the street next to a vehicle on Earlmoor and Woodward, just south of the Motor City Burger & Co, around 6:53 p.m. Thursday. He was shot multiple times and declared dead at the scene.
According to police, Grandberry was holding his car keys in his hand, and his vehicle was parked partially on the sidewalk next to him.
Witnesses told police they saw two black males approach a Chevrolet Suburban in the McDonald's parking lot just north of where Grandberry and his vehicle were found. The witnesses told police they heard gunshots and then saw the men running from the vehicle.
Deputies checked with the McDonald's manager and Motor City Burger manager and were unable to observe the incident on their security cameras.
Both suspects are described as black males. One was wearing blue jeans, a dark blue shirt and black shoes. The other was wearing black jeans, a black shirt and white shoes.
An investigation is ongoing.
