Man Found Dead In Car Along I-94 In Dearborn

DEARBORN (WWJ) - An autopsy is scheduled for a man who was found dead in a car Saturday morning on the shoulder of eastbound I-94 near Oakwood Ave. in Dearborn.

The man was unresponsive when he was discovered, at 9:40 a.m.,  by a Michigan Department of Transportation Courtesy Patrol driver that had stopped to check on a vehicle that was apparently broken down.

The driver called police, and Michigan State Police troopers who responded to the scene determined the man was dead.

According to MSP Lt. Mike Shaw, it appeared the man had crashed his vehicle into the median wall. Troopers described it as "a minor collision." Shaw said there were no signs of foul play or evidence, of a hit and run as an investigation continues.

The man's name was not immediately released, pending notification of his family.

No one else was hurt.
