DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are searching for a man who shot his brother on the city's northwest side.

Authorities say the victim's fiancé called police early Wednesday morning to report a shooting at a home on San Juan Street, in a neighborhood near McNichols Road and Livernois Avenue.

Other circumstances, including what led to the shooting, remain unclear.

An alert posted by police indicates they are looking for a 42-year-old man named Charles Carter, who was driving a car with an Indiana license plate.
