Man Drowns After Lawnmower Rolls Over In Water-filled Ditch
WINSOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - An 84-year-old Huron County man apparently has drowned after his riding lawnmower rolled into a water-filled ditch.
Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson says Thursday in a release that Loren Stein was cutting grass Wednesday afternoon near a steep ditch outside his Winsor Township home when the mower slid down the embankment.
The mower rolled over on top of Stein, trapping him in the ditch.
Winsor Township is about 100 miles north of Detroit.
