Man Arraigned On Weapons Charges In Fatal Grand Rapids Shooting
GRAND RAPIDS (AP) - A 32-year-old western Michigan man has been charged in connection with a shooting that left another man dead during a party at a Grand Rapids barbershop.
The Grand Rapids Press and WZZM-TV report that Darius Keys of Wyoming was arraigned Friday on carrying a concealed weapon and other firearms charges.
Prosecutors say no one has been charged with shooting and killing 28-year-old Nathan Seyfer Moore. Moore was shot in the chest about 5 a.m. Sunday.
About 70 people were attending an after-hours party at the barbershop. Police say a neighbor called 911 as people fled following the shooting.
The shop's owner wasn't there at the time.
It was not immediately clear Friday if Keys had a lawyer. He was ordered held in the Kent County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
